You will need to have the following information in Excel spreadsheets to initially populate the database with the data. If you don't have the data in electronic format, we recommend you first create an Excel spreadsheet in the specified format, review and then import the data into Greytip Online.

This relates to all employee information that you can import. You can import the information either during the time you are setting up the Payroll or regularly on a month-on-month basis.
- Employee Details (add-employee-sample.xls)
- Bank Details (emp-bankdetails-sample.xls)
- Employee PF Details (employee Pf.xls)
- Employee Category data - like Departments, Locations, Cost Centers, etc. (emp Transitions-sample.xls)
- Employee Address Details (emp Contactaddress-sample.xls)
- Employee Resignation Details (empresignation.xls)
This relates to all the already-processed Payrolls that you would like to bring into the application. For e.g. if you are in July 2009, then you may want to import the data of April 2009, May 2009 and June 209.
Each month's payroll need to be put into a separate Excel file.
- Salary Registers (Payroll Data porting - Sample.xls) including outside payments if any made.
This relates to the current salary and loan information of the employees. You can import the information either during the time you are setting up the Payroll or regularly on a month-on-month basis.
- Fixed Salary Master data (Mass Compensation.xls)
- If there are loans, we need the loan data as on beginning of the current month for which you are processing the payroll. For e.g. if you are processing the payroll of April 2009, then you would need the loan balance as of 1-Apr-2009.
Monthly Transactions#
This relates to the transactions that happen on a month-on-month basis. Apart from Employee Information updation, Salary Master updations, samples of formats for other transactions are given below.
- LOP (Loss of Pay) data (employee Lop-sample.xls)
- Stop Pay cases - Employees for whom you do not want to process salary this month (addPayroll Exclude Emps-sample.xls)
