Employee Asset Information#

Some companies provide communication facilities to their employees like: Laptop, mobile phones, internet connection etc. Such details are captured under Asset information for tracking. The information will have complete details of the assets given to the employees and also the returned status. A report can be generated using the Query Builder tool to capture the details.

There is also an option to upload the Asset data in bulk for many employees from the excel importer tool.

Follow the steps below to store the asset information.

  1. From the home page go to Employee > Employee information.
  2. Click on Asset Info under Employee Directory.
  3. From the search field select the desired employee for whom the info has to be stored.
  4. After selecting the desired employee, click on Add Asset Info button to record the details.
  5. Key in the necessary details under their respective columns and click on Save Modified Data. The selective asset details can also be deleted by using “Delete Selected Records” button.

Using excel importer to upload the Asset Information.#

  1. Go to Tools > Excel Importer.
  2. Select Employee Asset from the drop down
  3. Browse and Upload the excel file with the relevant data.

  4. Click on import to upload the data.
  5. A confirmation log will be displayed upon successful upload of the data.

Query Builder tool to generate report.#

Follow the steps below to create a Query Builder.

  1. Go to Reports > Query Builder.
  2. Click on New Query. This is Four step process and the query has to be saved for future usage.
  3. First Step : Select Employee Asset Info from the drop down and move the required Available Fields to Output fields. You can select all the fields using <Shift+select all the fields>. Use the right arrow for navigation.
  4. Second Step : Select the Output fields to sort the order
  5. Third Step : Select the desired criteria to filter the the records that you require in the report.
  6. Fourth Step : Give a report title and click on Save. There is an option to make this report accessible to all users or restrict only to admin user. Check the box next to Accessible for all users.
  7. The new QB Report is now listed under Reports > Query Builder. Use the excel sheet icon to import data, edit icon for making any changes and delete icon to delete the report.
